This series began with a tiny piece of neon fishing bobber I found on the beach. From there I started exploring the forms and colors of fishing bobbers. Visiting various tackle stores I discovered that some material for tying flies for fly-fishing come in some amazing colors. Purple buck tails, neon faux fur, blue artic fox and a entire orange hare's face... The fishermen's brooch was born! The main bodies of the brooches are made from MDF covered in colored foam. Other materials include: powder coated aluminum, foam bobbers, powder coated brass, stainless steel, natural and faux hair and furs. Sizes vary.
